A women-centered wellness nonprofit in Western North Carolina
Purplplace brings movement, professional processing support, nourishment, and community together—so every woman can access a more connected path toward whole-person healing.
Our vision for Western North Carolina
We remove the cost barriers that keep women from therapy, gym classes, and nutrition coaching, then bring those supports together in a like-minded community of connection.
What we do
Our programs bring movement, reflection, practical wellness, and human connection into the same room.
A recurring eight-week hybrid group: a 30-minute workout and a therapist-led processing group in the same session, plus subsidized CrossFit membership for committed participants.
Eight weeks of different movement experiences paired with counselor-led exploration of each woman’s life story—plus an individual session to deepen healing and develop her personal narrative.
Coaching and education that connect whole-food nutrition, metabolic health, rest, strength, daily movement, and meaningful support.
Move · Share · Heal
Instead of separating physical fitness from mental health, each session puts them side by side: a 30-minute workout followed by a therapist-led processing group.
The Purplplace wellness model
The five pillars connect nourishment, rest, prayer or meditation, strength, and daily movement into one whole-person approach.

Why Purplplace
Change becomes more possible when a woman is welcomed without judgment, supported without being rescued, and invited to recognize the strength already in her. Community is not an extra at Purplplace. It is part of the work.
Personal impact statements
Real reflections from women who have experienced movement, connection, encouragement, and growth through Purplplace.
“The Move Share Heal group provided everything I didn’t know I needed. I’m now surrounded by women I can openly talk to—and a gym community that pushes me physically. This uncovered physical and emotional strength I didn’t even know I had.

“Purplplace helped me gain the courage to work out and build strength. There are days when getting out of bed is hard, but showing up is rewarding. The coach works with you, pushes you, and reminds you not to get discouraged—everyone’s process and journey is different.
